'Deathly Hallows 2' Has Grossed 277 Million in Philippines in 18 Days Posted: 08 Aug 2011 06:28 AM PDT It is confirmed!!! The 8th and Final 'Harry Potter' film - 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2' is now the No. 1 'Harry Potter' film in Philippine. According to the news paper advertisement of Warner Bros. Philippines, the film has now grossed PhP 277 Million in Philippines, as of July 31 or in 18 days (and still counting) or almost US$ 6.6 Million (using $1.00=PhP42.00 exchange rate). Thanks to its 3D factor, which really helps the film to reach the 250-Million Peso Mark, the only 'Harry Potter' film to reach that mark. The second highest-grossing 'Harry Potter' film in the Philippines is the 2007 film 'Order of the Phoenix' with Php 220 Million or US$4.7 Million (2007 exchange rate: US$1.00=Php46.80). This was the very first 'Harry Potter' film to be released in IMAX 3D (20 minutes of the film is in 3D). 'Deathly Hallows - Part 1' is the 3rd on the list with Php 206 Million or US$4.7 Million (2010 exchange rate: US$1.00=Php44.00). The film was not released in 3D but was still shown in IMAX 2D. This was released 8 months before the final film. Sadly, 'Deathly Hallows - Part 1' did not beat the No. 1 Film in Philippines for 2011, 'Transformers 3' with almost PhP 395 Million or US$ 9.4 Million (2011 exchange rate: US$1.00=Php42.00). And still, the 2007 film 'Spiderman 3' is still the highest grossing film of all time in the Philippines with almost Php 426 Million or US$ 9.1 Million (2007 exchange rate: US$1.00=Php46.80). Take note: If you're going to use the American Dollar Gross, 'Transformers 3' is the Highest Grossing Film of All Time in the Philippines but in Philippine Pesos it's 'Spiderman 3'. But still 'Deathly Hallows - Part 2' is the Highest Grossing Warner Bros. Film in the Philippines. In global box-office, the film has grossed US$ 1.334 Billion (and still counting) making it the 3rd Highest Grossing Film of All Time and the Highest Grossing Non-Cameron Film (Cameron or James Cameron is the director of the TOP 2 Highest Grossing Films of All Time: 'Avatar' and 'Titanic'). In the other news, a new deleted scene photo from the film 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' was leaked online. It depicts the charcter of Viktor Krum, click here to see the photo.
