| New Interview with Scott MacIntyre Posted: 08 Aug 2011 04:07 PM PDT Recently, American Idol Season 8 Finalist Scott MacIntyre announced his upcoming autobiography, By Faith, Not By Sight, which will be released in May 2012. We hopped on the phone with the singer/songwriter/public speaker/author to find out more about the book, his upcoming wedding, and his new music. “I’m really excited about the book and the title. It’s been a long time in the making and it’s been a process finding a home for my story,” Scott shared. “I met with three major publishers since my time on American Idol. When I went into Thomas Nelson Publishing and met with [Senior Vice President and Publisher] Matt Baugher, it felt like home. They were enthralled and saw the potential my story had. I wanted to do a book on my life since before Idol, and I didn’t have an audience for it until now. I only shared a small sliver of my story when I was on Idol. I’m 26 years old, which is young compared to most people who write autobiographies, but I have experienced incredible highs and lows and I really want to take people on that journey. It is a journey of fear, uncertainty, outright despair, faith, hope, and dreams coming true.
