Minaudiere Berlingot does not remind me of the French caramel candies from which it derives its name, but of the mother of pearl minaudieres that are found in every tourist handicraft store throughout Manila. The Vuitton version though is interspersed with strips of resin that compliments the natural colour of the nacre. Rose Clair for the top foto and the Rose Fonce for the bottom, these hefty priced (a little less than $4K) evening clutches are to die for.
